My name is Casey. I am on SSDI and I’m trying to find a way to raise the money I need to register my car. I used to drive Uber and backed into a pole one day, losing my income and my transportation all at once. I had no income for 3 months and had to cancel my insurance because I couldn't even pay my rent, let alone my car insurance when I couldn’t drive. Long story short, family helped me through that time until my SSDI finally went through. I fixed my car and when I went to renew my registration, it was suspended. All my back pay went to paying back my family and fixing my car, and now I’ve been sitting here almost two years with my beautiful car I love just sitting there outside my window.
