Hi, my name is Chelsey. I need help to get my cat Sirius an urgent surgery, to clear and possibly remove part of his intestines.
Like most people my family lives paycheck to paycheck and the cost of the surgery is 1,140 which is almost double the amount of one paycheck! I added a picture of the vets estimate. Just to show that every penny of this, is to give Sirius the surgery he desperately needs!
Unfortunately it's just not something we can afford on our own!
The vet believes he might have ingested a foreign object that got lodged in his intestines or that he has an internal illness that is causing part of his intestines to die and if it doesn't get fixed soon it'll spread and they won't be able to help him.
He's just a baby, only about a year old in fact that picture of him underneath the rocking chair as a baby, is from January 18th of this year and that was one of the first times we saw him.
Sirius, is the most loving cat I've ever known!
Which is saying a lot because he was actually the first kitten of a stray mama cat on our porch, she's had two bigger litters since.
He was an outside stray cat ,like his mama cat until an older stray cat that came around long before his mama cat , started to chase him off and he disappeared for four or so days and when he came back , he was thin from not being fed! So I scooped him up and brought him inside, even though our house already had five cats inside, most of which were abandoned kittens & or very sick runts of the litter when we got them.
I couldn't let him get chased off again, to maybe never come back and not know what might have happened!
The shelters in our area are overrun, I'm on a waiting list for the other cats on our front porch, mama cats second and now third litter and we don't have a program where they'll pick up strays and spay or neuter them and put them back anymore.
So with all the cats to feed it's hard to save the money to have even one spayed or neutered!
I know it's a lot to ask especially around Christmas, the vet's office said he needs this surgery urgently and that they need to know by Friday. Because the obstruction or possible internal virus is either already causing or could cause part of his intestines to die and if it's not taken out it will continue to spread.
I wish there was something more I could do because I don't want to lose my Fur Baby! He's only maybe a year old! He first started coming up to the porch last year, when he was just an itty bitty baby, either right around Christmas or the beginning of January.
He absolutely loves to rub against anyone who is petting him and he loves kisses he's very affectionate, most nights his favorite place to sleep is on me. He's one of those cats that think the floor is lava, he's always on the furniture!
He can meow like it's nobody's business, the loudest cat out of all of the ones that we have and take care of outside. Although him losing his meow is how we knew something was wrong!
I need a Christmas miracle and this might be my only hope! Even if you can't help thank you for taking the time to read this! Please share this & encourage anyone who can help to donate even $5 Anything & Everything helps! Please help me save my Sweet Fur baby Sirius! I wish you all Happy holidays, Thank you and God bless!
