My name is Angela Shaw, and I am the group leader of Team Marilyn.  This crowd-sourcing effort is being launched to raise enough money to help my friend afford to stay in her home. Life has been challenging for her during the past year, and here is a quick run-down of why she deserves our help:

    -  Marilyn is (due to MS) unable to move any part of her body other than her left arm.  She has been in a wheelchair for 28 years, but does her best to be productive and as upbeat as possible.
    -  Her much-loved  14-year old "canine companion" had to be put down.
    -  After 20 years together (and a lengthy struggle with lung cancer), her devoted husband, Tony, died.
    -  During their marriage, Tony handled all the financial matters, and after his death Marilyn inherited an overwhelming number of outstanding debts. 
    -  Right now she needs immediate help with mortgage payments so that her home (where she has lived since 1991) will not go into foreclosure.

 One hundred percent of your donation will go toward helping Marilyn stay in her home.  

My personal goal is to reach at least 1,000 caring individuals who will contribute and spread the word to help my deserving friend.
