My name is Rebecca Trinidad and I am the creator, producer and host of a long running weekly cabaret in San Antonio, Texas.  The name of our show is Broadway Nights and we play every Saturday night in the coziness of the Broadway Nights Lounge nestled in the heart of the historic Woodlawn Theatre. Our show features a different featured local performer each week combined with an open mic format utilizing piano accompaniment almost exclusively.  We've been running for nearly three years and have become a much loved event but our piano has finally raised the white flag.  The piano won't stay in tune and the soft pedal is unusable.  We have been offered the opportunity to purchase a Chickering grand piano for $3500.00.
The new piano will be used not only for Broadway Nights perfomances and rehearsals but also for musical theatre show rehearsals and our Academy for the Performing Arts classes as well.
This piano will be a welcome and necessary addition to Broadway Nights and your help is essential because we survive on donations that we receive after each show when we pass the hat.  We cannot hope to raise enough money with just "hat money" since we have other weekly expenses so  I ask for your assistance as I would like to completely pay off this piano by January 1, 2016.  Every week as I stand before the mic and look out into the beautiful faces and hear the incredible voices I am amazed and humbled to know that something that came from my heart has become embedded in the hearts of so many.  I am thankful for the support of my loving theatre family and my thanks continues to expand further and further.  Please help us continue in our mission of education and entertainment.
