Christina has started her health journey to beat cancer. It is going to be a long, difficult journey. A few weeks ago, she was diagnosed with stage 3 tongue cancer. It has been a whirlwind of dozens of appointments with doctors, tests, and scans. Doctors say she is the youngest they have ever seen. In mid-November, she will be starting treatment with aggressive, intense chemotherapy. Doctors are advising her not to plan to work for four to six months. The aggressive nature of the treatment, followed by surgery and potentially more chemo and radiation, will require extra care and assistance. Andrew is by her side and ready to take care of her, but it will require him taking some time from work as well.
Friends and family praying and sending positive thoughts are so appreciated and valued. The community and support of all of you is going to keep Christina strong. There is also the very real physical need of living expenses and medical bills. "Many hands make light work." Also applies to a little from many people can make a big impact. Please join us in lightening the load for Christina where we can and help to alleviate some of the stress. No amount is too small, and we are grateful for you and your generosity.
Please continue to send Christina words of love and encouragement most of all! Thank you all for your mental, emotional, and physical support through this challenging time.
