Hello, my name is Diane but this is not about me. A young lady I know is really struggling and needs your help. I read her Facebook post tonight and feel so helpless. This is the first thing that came to mind. Here is her post. Her name is Rose Finlay.

50 Days...

There are only 50 days remaining on my MAiD application waiting period. For anyone that isn't in Ontario, that's Medical Assistance in Dying. If you haven't had a chance to read my latest blog, please do. The nitty gritty is this, the waiting list for me to receive government disability support here is 6-8 months. A psychiatrist referral is 9 months... but it's only 91 days for the government funded healthcare system to assist me in ending my life. I'm almost halfway through the 91 days.

This is available to me because I'm a severely disabled person who currently has a decreased quality of life... because I have no support. The government has created the perfect storm for disabled people here in Ontario. Starve them, cut them off from participating in society and then offer them death.
