UPDATE: Shannon was declared brain dead late Saturday night.

UPDATE 2: Jeff made the heartbreaking decision and Shannon was taken off of life support on Sunday evening.

This is Treacy & Jalyn and we are raising funds to help cover medical expenses for our friend, Shannon. Shannon was hit by an 18-wheeler on her way home from work on Friday, August 8th.

She does not have health insurance.

She has been in a coma for the last 24 hours. They can't operate because of the swelling in her brain. She has massive bleeding on the brain. The neurosurgeon stated that he would do more harm than good trying to relieve it. There is very little brain stem activity, and she's barely breathing on her own.

They will be doing a brain test sometime today to determine if there is brain activity.

Any donations received will be used to help cover medical/funeral expenses and care for her husband and children.
