Action Deaf Youth
Donation protected
On the 1st of September, I will be running the Waterside half marathon to raise money for Action Deaf Youth (ADY). They are a charity organisation that provides many different services to deaf children and their families in Northern Ireland. Including play sessions, sign language courses, family trips out and support and guidance for families with deaf children.
Action Deaf Youth is an organisation close to our hearts. George was diagnosed with moderate hearing loss and was fitted with hearing aids at 9 weeks old. This was a very scary time for us but Julie and the team at ADY have been there from the start providing us with help and guidance when we needed it most. George attends ADY every Thursday for play sessions with other children and Gemma has recently completed her Level 1 BSL - something I hope to achieve soon too!
As you all know George is thriving! He is the cheekiest, craziest, most lovable boy and his hearing aids are just part of him now.
We don’t just want to raise money for ADY, we want to promote deaf awareness and the amazing work that they do!
Please donate whatever you can - all donations will go directly to providing vital services supporting young people and their families.
Thank you,
Dean, Gemma and George
