Stevensville Youth Soccer Field #2
Donation protected
My name is Cathi Cook and I am the President of Stevensville Youth Soccer. Our fall recreational soccer program registers over 200 players in our community every year and we are still growing!
In 2009, SYS Field #1 was completed for our soccer players. Since then we have been accumulating fill material through local construction projects to build Field #2. We currently have our fill material leveled and ready for topsoil and seed. We have the topsoil material reserved for us and a sprinkler installer on stand by. We have purchased the seed and we have volunteers who will be doing the spreading for us.
With Field #2 completed, it will give us 3 extra playing fields for our kids. This will help with scheduling and not displace teams from their practice fields once the fall games have begun.
With the increase of players and games at Field #2, we will also need to add a parking area to accommodate the families coming to watch the games.
All money raised will go to the purchase and delivery of the topsoil material, the installation and the material for the sprinkler system, and the material and leveling for the new parking area.
We would love to have all of this happen the Spring of 2016. That way the field can be seeded and it would be ready for our players by September!
I have been working on this project since 2010. To have this field completed and played on would be a dream come true for myself and the SYS Board Members.
We have received grants from the Treacy Foundation for $40,000, and $1,500 from Stevensville Community Foundation. We have received donations of fill material from the Stevensville School District for $10,500, from
LS Jensen for $6,150, and Gerhard Contracting did the initial leveling of the field as a donation in the amount of $1,500. We are almost there!
All donations are tax-deductible and a donation receipt is available upon request!
We live in a great community that comes together when someone is in need or something needs to be built. Now is the time to finish SYS Field #2 for our kids and our program!
Not only would I be thankful to have this project completed, but so would the soccer players who play for Stevensville Youth Soccer!
