Samantha's Trip to Mozambique

Hello All!
I am embarqing on a short journey to Pemba, Mozambique with Iris Ministries for 10 days in June with a young lady, Kailey, from my church. In Pemba, there is a children's home for kids of all ages, and is also a larger ministry that meets the needs of widows and orphans in the surrounding villages. I am a huge supporter of this ministry since I visited back in 2012.
I wanted to let you all in a little bit on my journey and give you an opportunity to partner with me if you feel lead to. This was very humbling to put together and I really wrestled over a gofundme page, but I felt I needed to let my dearest friends and family know.
First, this is very dear and personal to me. Since, my husband and I have gotten married we have tried to have children, but have not been able to due to health reasons. We have a desire to adopt and to pursue that process, which is why I am heading to Pemba. Ever since I can remember, I have had a deep desire to be a mother, though right now it seems the furthest from my grasp. My purpose in going to Pemba is to love the many children that surround the base and love the ones without family and allow the Lord to bring healing and hope to my discourage and frustrated heart.
Second, the Lord put it on my heart to bring one of our youth to the mission field and introduce to her foreign missions. I felt that she had a heart for children and for missions and thought this was a perfect opportunity for her.
This is a break down of the Budget :
Flight: $2600 (needed by April 29)
Visa: $160
Drinking water: $40
Key Deposit: $20
Food: $100
Lodging:$100
Off base meals:$40
Any left over money at the end of the 10 days will be given to Iris minsitries which goes to their biggest need. If you would like to have more information about Iris Ministries you can visit their website: http://www.irisglobal.org/ .
Thank you for your love and support, whether through prayers or financially. I am truly thankful.
Love,
Samantha
