5 mile Skateboard Trail/park

Donation protected

My name is Rob Kendall and I've been living here in north Berwick Maine for the last 19 years. I have a special spot here with two rivers and lots of woods. Almost 20 acres to utilize. I've been building ramps since I was 14 years old and I'm 45 now. I started with wooden structures from a very young age and have moved onto the mentality of anything I can think of I can build. I've been doing just that for the lasts 17 years or so out here. I started building with concrete seven years ago and had lots of help over the years. This year my plans are on a much grander scale. Last fall I got started on one of my most elaborate plans. My new vision is a 5 mile skate trail(2 miles out to the river hillside then a mile along the river until shooting two miles back to the uphill bowls I already built) with lots of cool areas to ride along the way has started to take form in the way of the new sea creature park. The start to the skate trail I built in the fall with a 20 foot long humpback whale 40 foot long shark pocket, 30 foot vine covered arbor to zip through on your way down the hill, flounder tail volcano and more all making up the obstacles in the park. This will be the start of the trail going out past the revamped and new wood ramps then out to the first of many stops along the way.
I've never really counted on others for funding my projects but I'm looking forward to having the help this year so I can focus on the creative side and getting work done. This should be one of the best build years ever. Which is hard to say with all that got done in the last 17 years of building out here. There have been 11 wooden bowls or ramps over the years including the mega mini, b bowl, three different basement bowls,3/4 pipe wave ramp 60 foot bowl and a few others. There are currently four wooden ramps right now on the property with the addition of an 80 foot wooden mini playground coming mid summer. As far as concrete there are four fire pits, first uphill bowl, my first 100 foot long concrete bowl all hand pours with a brick hip with historic Boston bricks salvaged and used. Light up glass death boxes, four of them. There is a three foot to six foot left handed kidney skater and swimmer pool I hand dug by myself. Then poured with friends. It's attached to the sea retire park via the shark.
So with all that's going on with my company weird wood skateboards and all that I have planned I want your help and support to make this happen. If you are looking for a creative and unique project to get behind that you can actively watch progress in, this could be a lot of fun to watch. Already have people from all over to help in the process. Progress pictures and updates will have a special index on our website weirdwoodskateboards.com so you can check on the parks progression as it goes down. My hope is to raise enough to buy all the concrete, materials and a small land mover to help in this process. Thanks for taking the time to read about my passion and hopefully get involved. I will always be open to hearing from any of you about this project. Thanks for your support
