Hello friends,

I am starting this fundraiser for my best friend’s top surgery to mark their 25th birthday!

Star is an incredible artist, wonderful friend, and generous community member. He is someone who is constantly helping out, giving back, and offering support to those around him. To have Star in your life is to have an endless source of warmth, comfort, insight, cheer, and brightness.

Having top surgery will allow Star to live a happier, healthier, truer life, and lessen the daily burden of gender dysphoria. More than anything, I want to see my friend experience his body as a source of euphoria, not a barrier to it. However, excessive hoops and wait times of up to a decade make accessing gender affirming care on the NHS difficult to the point of being unrealistic; this fundraiser is to help Star access this care privately.

I am already so proud of Star for the progress he has made with his transition and the way in which he has carried himself with such grace, resilience, and authenticity throughout this journey. Anything you can give to help make top surgery a reality for Star is greatly appreciated.
