Since Marissa is still in the hospital and using unpaid medical leave, she is in need of support. Medical bills and life's expenses are beginning to add up and as she is not sure when she will be able to work again her family and friends have created this campaign to help her during this challenging time.

Here is what's happening in her own words...

"Last Wednesday (2/3) I survived appendicitis after my appendix ruptured while I was waiting and BEGGING for surgery. On Friday, my recovery made a turn for the worse and I was back in the ER by Saturday morning."

Marissa has been in the hospital since Saturday as doctors narrow down the diagnosis of what complication from her original surgery is currently causing her so much pain.
