My name is Matt Harlfinger and l am the Head Boys Track and Field Coach at Franklin High School. We are launching our annual fundraising campaign to help offset the cost of our program.

We are unable to host home competitions which forces us to travel ALOT. We pay our bus drivers, we pay for hotels, we pay for food at times, we have purchased gifts for our state qualifiers. We try to do way to much with way to little and this fundraiser has really helped us the past 2 years. We have been able to raise $5000 each of the past 2 years which has helped us get to actual indoor facilities at Liberty University and JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem.

Those trips require hotels for about 40 kids and staff, that costs about $1800. Meet Entry fee's typically run about $800 per meet. We pay the bus drivers extra on the longer trips.

These trips get us to the start line with some of the best competition in the country and college coaches are starting to notice us and reward our athletes. In the past 3 years we have been able to generate approximately $90,000 in track and field scholarship money for our kids to continue their education and athletic careers.

This is bigger than a high school sport. You are contributing to a team that is trying to make real significant changes in young people lives!

We have done 6 community service projects in the last 3 years.

We were the Indoor and Outdoor State Champions last year for the boys and Indoor Runner Up on the girls side.
