This fundraiser was created to honor the life and legacy of a loving father, husband, son, and friend, Hector Wills.
Hector Wills passed away on June 23, 2022 after a brave and humble battle against cancer.
Born on October 11, 1969 in Venezuela, Hector came to the United States in 2001 and proudly attended the Colorado School of Mines. He graduated in 2009 with a Ph.D in Petroleum Engineering. Hector loved his job and was well respected by his colleagues. He will be sorely missed amongst his community.
Hector was very proud of both of his sons pursuits of higher education. Gabriel was attending Regis University and took time off to help and be with his father during his cancer treatment. His middle son, Miguel, graduated high school this spring, with honors, and was accepted into the Colorado School of Mines. All of these accomplishments made Hector very proud and his hope is that both sons continue these endeavors.

Hector was passionate, first and foremost, about his family and loved watching them excel at school, and sports, especially soccer and swimming. He also loved spending time with his children building Legos. He became quite the coffee roaster and found an enjoyment roasting his own coffee beans and then sharing his creations with family and friends. Those lucky enough to witness Hector’s joy of grilling will relish in the memory of his delicious meals and the wonderful time spent together enjoying them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica, his two sons, Gabriel and Miguel and his precious daughter Sarah.
Any donations will go directly to his wife to help cover funeral costs, education and college tuition for his children and overall family needs during this very difficult time.
