The majority of you know Abe, and have watched him grow up. He has had a part time job since he was 14, and has looked forward to becoming an adult since he was 7. This past summer he started saving for his first car, shortly after he received his license. Right around the start of his senior year he was able to buy a 2001 Jeep Cherokee he named Judie. She was a beater with 250k miles and a dashboard that sometimes worked. He replaced the speakers, fixed the hood so he could finally open it without a wrench, and replaced the headliner with some sweet t-shirts. It was rad.

Last week as he left school, he realized it was gone. Stolen from the school lot. He'd had it for almost two months. A tough life lesson for a kid. We saw the car a few times around the neighborhood last week, but the cops were never able to catch it. Until Monday morning. The thief tried to elude police and demolished the car in the process. Abe was heartbroken.

We didn't realize how much he needed a car until he actually had one. He drives to school and work, band practice and gigs, and is starting an internship at a recording studio next month. He's back to square one with his savings, and as much as we would love to be able to buy him a car, it's just not feasible right now. So here we are.

I know the world is shit and it's hard out here for everyone. This car thing is really trivial in the big picture, but he's our kid and we want to help him out.

He bought the car for $3,000 so we are trying to raise somewhere near that so he can get a Judie 2.0. It'd be great if you wanna toss him a $20 to help out.

I just wanna give him a little hope that the world isn't all evil.
