Dean Richins, is known throughout the Gridley and Biggs Community as Dr. Richins. He loved his Profession as a Chiropractor of 49 years and found so much joy in serving others and helping people to feel better everyday. That was his mission in life. You may know him as the guy always with a sweet smile and a "Hi" or waving to you as he passes by. Some of you may know him as the guy in the stands yelling "Wolverine Power!" Cheering on the local football, and basketball teams. Wherever Dean goes and if you are lucky enough to have crossed paths with him he always leaves a lasting impression. He loves quotes and one that he always says and probably explains why he is ALWAYS smiling is "DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF...... BECAUSE IT'S ALL SMALL STUFF!" Unfortunately on February 6, 2016 while at work, he had a stroke and was rushed to Enloe Medical Center where they found a blood clot that was in his brain that has effected some of his memory and speech. He spent several days there. They then released him and sent him home. Having been home for only a few days, he had another stroke and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital once again. Doctors did more thorough CT scans and a MRI and found that he only had 50% of his blood and a serious heart condition. They then found a large tumor in his colon which test results came back that confirmed the devastating diagnoses of colon cancer. With his health so weak and in a fragile state they had to give him a blood transfusion. The doctors were wanting to delay his surgery to remove the tumor due to his heart condition and his risk factors, but because of his health declining and loss of blood due to his tumor bleeding, they had no choice but to go ahead and do the surgery. Dean being the full provider for his wife is unable to work and provide for the everyday expenses. Although he is still in good spirits with his sweet smile and his positive outlook on life and having faith that it will all work out, the stress of all the finances, along with his health conditions and recovering from his recent surgery is taking a toll. Lets help him out so he doesn't have to "SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF" and help relieve the financial burden that has been placed upon his shoulders. With all the home and medical bills adding up, the mutiple ambulance trips to the hospital, his medications, and his continued rehabilitation due to his strokes, and with his recent surgery and further treatments, we are asking for any Donations for Dean, even if its a little it all adds up. Thank You so much for all of you Contributions, your Continued Support, and your Thoughts and Prayers!
All Our Love,
The Richins Family
