As many of f you know, there have been activists- many close to my heart - that have been on the front lines for literal months. They have marched, organized, defended and protected. They have been beaten and gassed and assaulted. When other activists were arrested, they were there with hugs and food and toothbrushes and phone chargers the minute they were released. They have organized food and clothing drives. They have made the movement more accessible by offering ASL resources and support. All under the banner of “Who takes care of us? We take care of us?” This has been the rallying cry of activists around the world for decades.  And now a particular activist needs some help.
With the shutdowns of the service industry, our servers and bartenders and DJ’s etc have been out of work for months but still hustling to speak for and take care ofthose around them. But the little bit of nice weather hustle is gone, along with savings and options.
