My Wish, My Sibling, My Bestie
“I make no apologies for my wording, just honesty!”
My best friend, my sister, does not have CANCER of any form, she does not have MOTOR NEURON DISEASE, MS, ME or ALS. I say this, as to explain what my sister has, is not so simple, an INHERITED METABOLIC DISEASE.
INHERITED METABOLIC DISEASE. MITOCHONDRIAL CYTOPATHY. Kelly will die prematurely, not having lived a full and active life, she is wheelchair dependent, bone and weight loss, epileptic, from this condition; she is now in GP led PALLIATIVE care at home. To emphasise, the seriousness of this condition, my brother KIERAN, my sisters Stacey & Kristen also died from this condition in aged 19yrs, 20yrs & 3 months.
I and not looking for a cure, nor treatment as there are none, believe me we’ve looked and tried. The purpose of this appeal is to make a wish come true, a weekend trip to London, while she still can, by train or plane, to visit, Historical Castles and Museums, London Eye, Theatre. My mother and father care for Kelly, this will also enable them to have a little respite. To verify my sibling’s journeys, please visit the attached links from our local guardian newspaper.
Thank you, for all your support,
Steph X
