On December 31, 2025, our family received news that changed everything. My dad, Robert, was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma AKA kidney cancer. He is currently Stage 3, which means he will need to have his entire kidney removed in a major surgery scheduled for late March.

If you know my dad, you know his heart. He is the kind of man who shows up for his loved ones. He has opened his home when someone needed a place to land, offered advice when someone felt lost, and given love without ever asking for anything in return. He has always been a safe place for so many of us.

He doesn’t complain. He doesn’t ask for help. But this diagnosis has brought a new wave of medical bills, starting with a $3,000 deductible just for the upcoming surgery.

The last thing we want is for him to carry financial stress on top of preparing for a life-altering operation.

We are asking for help to cover the $3,000 deductible for his kidney removal surgery. Any funds raised beyond that will go directly toward post-surgery medical expenses, medications, follow-up appointments, and anything he needs to ensure a healthy and smooth recovery.
