We are fundraising to help out Angela Overton-Benge who was sadly hospitalised following a car accident on 19th February 2025. Angela is a much loved sessional chaplain at HMP Haverigg and the parish vicar to Bootle, Whicham, Corney and Whitbeck. Her little old car that she relies on to ferry her to and from her work in the community and the prison was already literally held together with gaffer tape and will certainly not have survived the impact. For a lady of 78 years Angela continues to work more than what anyone else would call 'full time' hours and has been extremely reluctant to retire even with her advancing years. Whilst Angela recovers she will not be able to conduct her duties at Haverigg and as a sessional member of staff will not benefit from sickness pay. As you will all agree Angela has done so much for so many we would really like to help her out at her time of need. Please dig deep everyone.
