Help for Charlie Colson
Donation protected
If you've known Charlie long enough, you can probably hear him warmly welcoming you with his boisterous "Well, HELLO DERE!" He is always upbeat, always a good friend, and an incredibly loving, generous and caring man. And now he needs our help.
Charlie's pumpout boat sank in the bay on April 3, and there is no insurance. As many of you know, the pumpouts are his way of "making a living." And, like most people, he makes just enough to get by. He does not have the financial means to replace the boat - or pay his rent and other obligations. Without a pumpout boat, Charlie's way of life is over. He has no other income options. He has no idea what he will do. He is devastated and lost.
All this comes on top of just receiving news that his son has been diagnosed with cancer. Having lost his wife to cancer years ago - a tragedy he is still not over - the news is heartbreaking for him.
Things have not been going in his favor, and now it's time for us to step up and return the love he has so generously given to us. Can you give $5? $100? $500? With $15,000, Charlie can get a new pumpout boat and have enough spare to ensure he doesn't lose his boat/home.
What can we do together to show Charlie that we all love and care for him? Give as much as you can. Let's show him that he is important to us, and we are there for him.
