Hi, So here we are again. After months of medication and oxygen, my pressures have not improved, and my effusion is worse. My Cardiologist stated my heart failure is so bad with this pressure that if nothing else changes, I will not live more than 5-8years. I would not see my youngest graduate from high school; I would not see them get married or any other milestones. I just discovered I was finally approved for my procedures at the University of California San Diego. Initially, I was told I was not a candidate for surgery, but now I am approved for 50/50. This means part open chest surgery and part BPA (ballooning of the lung arteries). I am told by a friend who has gone through this to expect three weeks in California between testing, surgery, and recovery. Thus will need a hotel, food, flight tickets, and tickets for my husband to get me when done as I will not be able to lift anything. I know many have given before. I feel awful asking again, but much of the last donations since surgery seemed impossible (it really was a fight with doctor to get a referral) were used on surviving. Anything will help toward covering the cost, so I can go and live longer than the five years given. Thank you and God Bless
