Turia's Great Wall Challenge

Donation protected
In 2011, Turia Pitt was trapped by fire while running an ultra marathon in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia. She suffered horrific burns to 65% of her body and was not expected to live.  But Turia had everything to live for, and survived against all odds.  Her desire to help others is as strong as her will to live, and inspired me from the other side of the world when I read her story.  When Turia organized a trip to the Great Wall of China to raise money for a charity in which her surgeons are involved, I jumped at the chance to join.

Interplast is a charity that sends Australian and New Zealand volunteer surgeons to provide free reconstructive surgery for survivors in developing countries.  As a burn survivor and the recipient of numerous life-saving surgeries and skin grafts, Turia is not only a passionate supporter, but their newest ambassador.  In June, I'll be trekking the Great Wall of China with Turia and a team of 18 equally inspired and empowered women.  Our team has a goal of $100,000 and each team member has an individual goal of $3000.  Please consider making a contribution to support my team and this cause!

Thank you!
