Be Part of the 810 Munchies Comeback!

We had a dream. We built it. And YOU came! Together, we created 810 Munchies, a restaurant where special-needs families felt welcome and thousands of free meals were served to our community. Then a landlord dispute forced us to close. But our dream isn't over! Now I'm inviting YOU to be part of our comeback, starting with just $5,000 for a food truck down payment. It's our first step toward reopening 810 Munchies and bringing back a place where everyone belongs!

The Dream That Worked

My name is Steven Brewer, founder and owner of 810 Munchies in Flint, Michigan.

My wife, MacKenzie, and I have two sons with autism. We know firsthand how difficult something as simple as taking your family out to eat can be when you feel like people are watching, judging, or don't understand.

I had a dream of changing that.

We wanted to build a restaurant where every family could feel comfortable, where children could be themselves, and where nobody had to apologize for being different.

It was our own little Field of Dreams. We built it, and the people came!

810 Munchies became one of Genesee County's most loved restaurants. People came for our Flint-style Coneys, burgers, breakfasts, and home-cooked meals. But what made it special was the friendships, the laughter, and the sense of belonging.

We also took our mission beyond the restaurant, serving thousands of free meals through our community dinners.

We weren't just feeding people. We were bringing people together.

When the Doors Closed, My Heart Broke

Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control involving a landlord dispute forced us to close our restaurant.

Losing 810 Munchies was one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. It wasn't just a business to me. I loved serving people, seeing familiar faces, and knowing we were making a difference in someone's day.

Without that, there's been a hole in my heart.

But something incredible has happened.

Even after being closed for months, people are still leaving Google reviews, sharing memories, and telling us how much they miss 810 Munchies.

That's when I realized something.

We may have lost our building, but we never lost our community!

Our First Milestone: $5,000 to Get Rolling!

We're starting our comeback with an achievable goal: $5,000 for the down payment on a food truck.

The food truck will allow us to get back to doing what we love, serving great food and reconnecting with the community, while we work toward opening a permanent restaurant.

Our long-term fundraising goal is $100,000 toward securing a new location, obtaining kitchen equipment, and creating a permanent home for 810 Munchies.

We're also welcoming conversations with investors and business partners who believe in our mission.

And here's the exciting part: As we reach each milestone, we'll celebrate together!

I want everyone who becomes part of this journey to share in the excitement, from getting that food truck rolling to the day we open our new restaurant.

This Is Your Comeback Story, Too!

810 Munchies started as my dream, but it became something much bigger because of the people who walked through our doors.

Now I'm inviting you to become part of its future.

Whether you contribute $5, $20, $100, or simply share our story, you're part of the 810 Munchies family.

I want everyone who joins this comeback to have a special place in our new restaurant and forever in my heart.

I can't wait to fire up that grill again, welcome back familiar faces, serve our community dinners, and see families enjoying a place where they truly belong.

We built it once. You came. Now let's build it again, TOGETHER!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
