Recently, our close friend Jack was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer, turning his world — and ours — upside down.
Since his diagnosis, Jack has faced this with incredible strength and determination.
He’s doing everything he can to fight — exploring every possible option to give himself the best chance, including specialised treatment at the Williams Cancer Institute in the United States/Mexico.
The treatment is called Intratumoural immunotherapy. Unfortunately, this treatment is not widely available in most countries including AUS & UK, which means accessing it requires travel overseas to specialised centres.
Intratumoural immunotherapy is a targeted cancer treatment in which medicine is injected directly into the tumour - rather than delivered through the bloodstream. The goal is to focus treatment where it is needed most, stimulate a stronger immune response, and help the body recognise and fight cancer cells more effectively throughout the body.
This treatment offers real hope — but it comes at a significant cost, with expenses expected to reach up to $400,000 AUD.
We’re aiming to raise at-least $70,000 to help Jack access this treatment and ease the financial burden that comes with it.
To support this, a few of us will be taking on the Bondi to Manly 80km Ultra Marathon in October.
It’s a tough challenge — but it’s nothing compared to what Jack is facing every single day.
Whether you know Jack personally or not, this is a chance to help someone who is fighting for more time, more memories, and more life.
Every dollar raised will go directly towards:
* Life-saving treatment in the US/Mexico
* Travel and accommodation costs
* Supporting Jack through this fight
If you’re able to contribute — no matter how small — it will make a real difference.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this page helps us reach someone who can.
Let’s come together and give Jack the best possible chance.
