80 a day for Headway

You may remember me doing a parachute jump for the same charity last year.

A few weeks ago, I met the local coordinator for Headway Blackpool Fylde and Wyre, and she told me that they had not had any donations since June!

I am doing 80 sit-ups daily in November, a killer for me after 2 C-sections and a hysterectomy!

This charity supports those with brain injuries, from trauma or illness, and their families to rehabilitate and get the help they need to move forward with their lives.

Brain injury can challenge every aspect of your life – walking, talking, thinking and feeling – and the losses can be severe and permanent. It can mean losing both the life you once lived and the person you once were.

We all think, 'it will never happen to me, but around 350,000 people are admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury every year.

That's one every 90 seconds.
