8 Hours For WIRES Wildlife Emergency Fund

Good Deed DJs and M.A.D.E. Productions present a benefit for WIRE Wildlife Emergency Fund


WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) has been rescuing and caring for wildlife for over 30 years and is the largest wildlife rescue organisation in Australia. We are passionate about supporting smaller volunteer organisation in the wildlife sector with the same mission, as well as Universities, Veterinary Associations and other leading scientific and environmental groups.


Starting in November 2019 Australia has experienced countless fires over the entire continent burning for weeks at a time decimating over 12.35 million acres of land. Many animals were already struggling with a lack of water and food due to the drought. With the fires destroying unprecedented amounts of habitat, food shortages have increased and lack of suitable habitat will be a significant long-term challenge for surviving wildlife.


Over the 8 hour period we will be having a public event as well as streaming it online like we usually do.

More information about WIRES - NSW WILDLIFE INFORMATION AND RESCUE: WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service) mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. WIRES assists tens of thousands of animals every year and last financial year received over 95,000 requests for rescue assistance. Currently we are facing the biggest event in our history as bushfires have burned 5 million hectares of forests and an estimated 1 billion native animals have lost their lives.
