After over FOUR YEARS of waiting our dear friend Jess is finally on the verge on booking their top surgery!

Sadly, part of the surgery is not covered under OHIP, and half of this amount must be paid up front to book the surgery. If they cannot supply the funds, Jess will have to continue to delay this important and affirming procedure. Like many trans and queer people, Jess does not enjoy financial security and has no access to financial assistance from family to support them in this time. They have been lucky to secure a loan from parents of a friend so they can book the surgery, but they will need our help to raise funds to pay that loan back. While they have been working hard and saving for years, this additional expense was unexpected and has added a lot of stress to what should be a joyful time.

Jess' life has been hold while they have waited for this opportunity, so we're asking for support from our community to help them raise the funds!

Jess is more than a friend - they are our chosen family, and we know that they mean so much to so many people in our community.
