I’m reaching out to ask for support for some dear friends of mine — Rebecca and Austin Davis, and their two daughters, Cassidy (3) and Charlotte (2 months).
On October 13th, a severe microburst storm hit Tempe, causing significant damage across the city. The Davis family’s home was one of many that was seriously affected. Now, with two young children — including a newborn — they’re facing a long road to recovery and a lot of uncertainty.
While insurance may cover some of the damage, the process has been slow and unclear. They have a large deductible and must cover temporary housing costs out of pocket (which insurance may reimburse them for later). Their contractor has already told them it’s unlikely they’ll be able to move back in before Christmas.
They’re currently navigating:
• Temporary housing costs
• Feeding and caring for a young family without their home base
• Paying an insurance deductible
• Balancing family with running a small business
Rebecca and Austin own a center for young learners — Full Spectrum Learn & Play — and while the business wasn’t physically impacted by the storm, they’re now juggling recovery efforts and caring for their family with trying to keep that dream going.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
• The insurance deductible
• Temporary housing
• Daily essentials and storm-related costs not covered by insurance
Any funds beyond that will help with out-of-pocket repairs and ongoing expenses as they work to rebuild.
This is a family who shows up for others every day. They aren’t ones to ask for help — which is why I’m asking for them. If you’re able to contribute or share this with your network, it would mean so much. Every donation goes directly to helping the Davis family move forward.
Thank you for reading, and for supporting a family that means a great deal to me.
With gratitude,
Peyton & Kristine Regalado
