Hi Everybody,
Meet Carter Blodgett, Carter is a vivacious and loving ,11 year old boy. He was born prematurely with CEREBRAL PALSY at only 28 weeks gestation.
Carter constantly has several medical challenges and doctors appointments due to his cerebral palsy. He was recently diagnosed with a trunk impairment and has absolutely no strength, stability or control of his spine.
Thankfully, and with much appreciation, Carter was blessed to receive an electric wheelchair due to his rapid growth and inability to walk. This wheelchair gives Carter a new opportunity for independence and travel.
He is also blessed with an amazing support system. His Mom Charlene, a single mother of 3 ,along with his Dad Walter and Angela, Grandma Josephine and Grandma Jackson work as many hours possible to be sure Carter has the neccessaties to be the healthy and happy child he is today.
However, Carter's families are having extreme difficulty getting him transported to and from many essential medical appointments and family outings. The boy just wants to be able to go where his loved ones go. To watch him cry when his brothers have to leave him behind is more than heartbreaking!
The families are asking for your help to purchase a dependable, used, handicapped, wheelchair accessible van.
Carters new electric wheelchair is too heavy and bulky for any one person to beable to pick it up. It is nearly impossible to transport without an adequate automobile. We truly appreciate your support!!
