Max the Great Dane is only 3 and having serious health problems. He came to us because we are fortunate enough to have more affordable vet services in our area. Max's sickness all started with a bad case of diarrhea... And it hasn't stopped for months. His system is not absorbing any nutrients, his food passes through him. So far, thousands of dollars have been spent getting him help with no answers. So far, blood work, x-rays, stool samples, antibiotics, steroids... The list goes on and nothing has been found... Through each procedure, the vet has pointed out to us that Max always has a belly full of food. Max is eating and his body is starving itself. Our next steps are biopsies and exploritory surgery. We ask for any help that can be offered. On his good days when he has the energy, Max still try to play with the other dogs. He wants to be well again and he isn't ready to give up...
