Mission Trip

Hi, my name is Eric Ortega and this is my story. Growing up my parents basically had to push us on the bus every Sunday morning to go to church. There were days I enjoyed going and some days not so much. I really enjoyed the cookies and lemonade! But growing up I never really understood church. My parents were believers but they never went to church nor were we ever talked to about God so I really never understood the real meaning. So time went on, I got older, I got in trouble, did bad things, did great things, I am father to 4 beautiful children, married to a beautiful soul (Sarah), and yet I still struggled. But then on one Saturday afternoon my wife said that we would be going to church on Sunday. Since that Sunday my life changed!! A weight of stones that I carried everyday was gone, anxiety gone, stress gone, worries gone, so many things that I thought were important that really weren’t important gone! Am I perfect? No! Nobody is perfect, only God is. But after that 1st Sunday, and continuing Sundays we as a family have gained more family in our church. God has called on me to help others that don’t know God just like I didn’t, im not perfect nor ever will be perfect but I can be a faithful follower of God and be as perfect as I can be! I am Gods feet and mouth on this land and God will use me to tell my story to help others as I have been helped by God. Are you ready? Do you need help? Are you scared? Do you think people will think differently about you? Are you embarrassed? Let me tell you, I was ready, I needed help, I was scared, I thought people would judge me, I was embarrassed, but I was ready because God said I was, and now none of that matters because the only thing that does is God! Now I am on a mission for God to help others here, near, and far away. I am here on a mission for God, to help, and show that from my story it can happen. Do you have faith? Walk with me! Don’t be scared to ask for help as I used to be, but no more, we all need help and let me tell you, God is running a race to help you and me! May God bless each and everyone of you. Thank you!
