Hi, my name is Gerry Merkley a couple years ago I had both my legs amputated since then I've struggled with suicide. What has bought joy to my life is when I took in a dog that used to belong to a homeless drug attic. The dog had a lot of bad habits but through love and training a lot of those bad habits were broken it's plan is to make it my support animal. I live on an acre of land with plenty of room for the dog to play and decompress. One day when the door was opened for it to use the bathroom it saw something across the road and bolted. Unfortunately, at that exact moment a vehicle was driving by which numerous neighbors claim belonged to a local gas company struck it slowed down and continued on it's way. The vet bills are vet bill are going to costs thousands of dollars which is difficult for me as I'm in a wheel chair. The dog is only one year old and I hope it can have a long and happy life. Considering I have no legs don't have the means to raise this money myself I don't want the dog to be euthanized for lack of funds.
