Here we are once again battling the same stomach cancer that doesn’t seem to be getting any better or dissipating for that matter. As many of you that have donated in the past, and have kept in touch with Raul throughout his daily struggles battling with cancer knows that there was a strand of hope, with Raul gaining some of his weight back and overcoming the harsh side effects that come shortly after each chemotherapy treatment and last for days not having an appetite and stuck in bed. The doctors realized despite the positive signs, the cancer still exists and according to some tests, this cancer has doubled in size and leaves us very concerned with the obvious weight loss again. The Doctors wanted to try a different method, which was Immunotherapy. However after the numerous amounts of treatments of Immunotherapy, bloodwork, and some additional tests, it has been determined that the Immunotherapy was not effective, leaving many of us very disappointed, concerned, and desperate for other life saving options, The same team of doctors have suggested and it has been agreed upon that chemotherapy must be started all over immediately, but this time the dosage will be doubled as well as the amount of times per month, with the intent of aggressively attacking this cancer with hopes of a better outcome this time around.
On a different note; Raul has been in good spirits and does not display his pain, discomfort, or fear of this disease around us family, but we all know that he is a fighter and shows no weakness despite his level of pain, these characteristics are some of what make Raul a Warrior. I ask that on behalf of Raul and the family, if you can please be as generous as you have in the past, to make a donation that would help with the financial struggles with commuting two to three hours away from home for Raul’s medical appointments for chemotherapy treatments. This would help with gas, food, and a hotel room for convenience before and after his treatments. Like I have mentioned once before; If we can donate to bury a loved one, how does it not make sense to give what you can to help this man (Raul), fight to live? From the Tonche family; To you and yours. Thank you for your kind and generous donation(s) and prayers. Lastly, please distribute to as many family members and friends that you can, thank you again.
