North-American Barbarians Trip
Hello Everyone,
My name is Joseph Kamara, I have been nominated to play with the North American Barbarians U19 boys Elite 7s team in the Invitational Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s tournament in November of this year. Here's a little about myself. I graduated from Palmer high school, and I played for the Palmer Terrors Rugby club all through high school. This past summer I got the opportunity to play for the High School All American (HSAA) team in Canada, I was also able to play for EIRA, in the North American Invitational 7s tournament. Playing in both tournaments was a great experience because not only did we win both tournaments, I was also able to acquire more knowledge of the game, and grow as a player. I am very honored and excited to be offered yet another opportunity from the North American Barbarians.This will be the first time the North American Barbarians will play in the Invitational Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s tournament which is the most exclusive venue for Elite U19 Men’s 7s teams (only two teams have been invited from all of North America). The team will consist of players from the Western Canadian provinces, various academies in the USA, and the top programs in the UK. A list of 24 players for the invitational entry, and only traveling with 12; I am one of the 12 players that will be traveling. Before I can secure this opportunity I must overcome one last obstacle which is the cost that accompanies elite tournaments like this, which is why I am seeking your assistance. Team fees are $1500 USD and the flight to Dubai is around $900. Thank you for your time and consideration.
