Hey everyone!

I'm starting a fundraiser to help me and my family pay for our dog's, Shadow, surgery.

How Shadow became a part of the family:

In 2018, Nick was driving on Church Street on his way to work when a brindle pitbull was in the middle of the road. To avoid any accidents or potential harm to the dog, he stopped and opened his car door, and the dog jumped right in. Nick turned around and took her to his parents' fenced-in backyard until we could figure out who the owner was. The next day, when I went to take pictures, I noticed her tits were hanging, and after further investigation, there was no chip. She was a very grateful and happy dog, so Nick and I housed her until we found an owner. Even sadder, no one responded, and it was more evident she was dumped, which is very common on this street. After a few weeks, we decided to adopt her! She has brought us nothing but happiness, joy, and protection!

Recently, she stopped putting weight on her back right leg, and after reaching out to a friend who is a vet tech, it could possibly be like an ACL tear. After having her looked at, she does have a CCL tear in her right back leg, which causes her a lot of pain.

We are also brand new parents with a one-year-old. I have decided to be a stay-at-home mom, but I am still a licensed hairstylist on the side when I can find help. Unfortunately, with only one of us working, the surgery bill is almost impossible to pay off without help. Her surgery is scheduled for January 13, 2026, and it is going to be a total of $4,390 for just the surgery and medication. That's not including all of the X-rays we've already received.

The majority of the money I make off of hair is going to her bill, but with the slowdown of business from the holidays and being a SAHM, we've got a long and difficult road ahead of us.
