With broken hearts, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Salomon Familia on June 6th, 2025 — the day after his birthday.

Salomon was the youngest of six siblings, born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. While in the Dominican, he became a father to his first son, Joel, before eventually moving to Canada, where he raised two more sons — Isaiah and Andre, and continued building a life full of love, laughter, and generosity.

Salomon was truly one of a kind. He was deeply loved by so many.. not just because of how he cared for his own family, but because of how generously he gave himself to others. As a basketball and baseball coach, Salomon made a lasting impact on countless young people. He didn’t just coach; he uplifted. Whether it was picking up food for the team, offering rides, or cracking jokes and dancing to make people smile, he always found ways to bring joy to others and light up any room he entered.

Salomon lived his life putting others first. His humour, selflessness, and the love he poured into his community left an unforgettable legacy.
