Hi, my name is Mel, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.
In February 2025, I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. Overnight, life as I knew it stopped. I’m a single mom of twin girls, and I’ve been raising them completely on my own. Everything I do is for them, but this diagnosis forced me to step away from work and focus on treatment just to stay alive.
I just finished chemotherapy, an incredible milestone, but I’m far from done. I still have major surgery, radiation, and reconstruction ahead of me, along with the physical and financial recovery that comes with all of it.
This has been an incredibly vulnerable season. Asking for help does not come easy for me, but I’ve realized I can’t do this alone. Medical bills, being out of work, and still needing to provide for my girls has created a financial weight I can’t carry by myself.
If you’re able, I would be so deeply grateful for your support, whether it’s a donation, sharing this with others, or simply keeping me and my girls in your prayers. Every bit of help means I can focus on healing and being there for my daughters, who need their mom healthy and whole.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us through this fight.
With gratitude,
Mel
