As friends of Jay Colon and his family, we are establishing this GoFundMe account to collect donations that will assist his family with medical and funeral expenses. Jay tragically passed away on the night of Thursday, April 19.
Jay was a respectful, loving son and brother. His peers would describe him as someone who was an exceptional friend and always willing to help. Jay was from Lafayette, Louisiana, and a sophomore at Lafayette High School where he was a student in the Gifted Program. He was an outstanding soccer player who played for the Cajun Soccer Club Senior Academy and Lafayette High School Varsity Team.
Jay's family is devastated by his unexpected passing. They would greatly appreciate your prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Jay will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends, and his presence and infectious smile will never be forgotten. There will be an update when funeral arrangements have been completed.
