Helping Hand for Hannah and Louis

Hi, all. On August 29th, the home of my son Louis and his mother, Hannah, burned (most of you know that despite our "ex" status, Hannah and I remain close friends). The fire was extinguished by the fire department which allowed Hannah and Louis to go and salvage some things that weren't lost, however, after the fire department left, the fire re-ignited at 1 am, destroying everthing.
Louis' cat, Gumball, was lost in the blaze. His dog, Lilo, suffered from smoke inhalation and slight burns and despite initially having a less than positive diagnosis, is doing much better. More important than anything that was lost, Louis and Hannah are unharmed; thankfully they weren't home at the time. Just the thought of them having been home and asleep at the time has made me break down into tears over the last few days.
Anyone that knows Hannah, knows that she is prideful to the point of being hard-headed. Like, really, really, really hard-headed. Think me, but multiply it by the highest number you know. Pretty hard-headed, right? She doesn't know that I've set up this account because I know that she would object to it, viewing it as charity (see above statement regarding pride/hard-headedness). They are staying at my house, which is now OUR house until she is back on her feet. I struggled with the amount to set the goal for donations at, and even asked friends what they thought, and they all said what I viewed as an insanely high amount. They need socks, undearwear, toothbrushes. The essentials. Louis was concerned about his school books having burned. I, and I know Hannah, wouldn't expect normalcy to be returned. I just know that they need a helping hand. The outpouring of concern, support and love that I've already witnessed has restored my once jaded view of mankind.
In closing, thanks. If you send prayers, energy, thoughts,words or financial assistance; whatever your religious/spiritual/humanist ideals compel, thank you. In means so much to me, but more importantly, it will mean so much to them. I love you all.
