12/26/23 LATEST UPDATE on our girl:

Officially one year into her brutal war against breast cancer, our girl has been through the wringer. Every cancer battle is hard, but Eliya has endured more than her share, overcoming multiple critical hospitalizations and surgeries. After 6 torturous months of chemotherapy, followed by a double mastectomy, she found out that residual cancer remained… she is now undergoing 8 additional months of chemotherapy. While her body is exhausted, her spirit is as bright as her smile. Please keep her in your thoughts as she enters her 12th grueling month of treatment. In her words, “everyone loves a comeback,” and she will be VICTORIOUS! Bless her, and bless you for your continued love and prayers.

An update on our girl:

In her war against Triple Negative Breast Cancer, Eliya has been undergoing intense chemotherapy for the past 5 months, and she has several rounds to go. She was hospitalized due to complications, and she still has a long road of surgeries and immunotherapy ahead. But our girl has not lost her smile or her positive attitude. She is determined to win! In her words, she is “BEYOND GRATEFUL” for the outpouring of love, support, and encouragement everyone here keeps showing her. Please continue to keep our beautiful warrior in your thoughts and prayers.

I am writing on behalf of everyone that knows and loves our girl, Eliya.

2022 was quite a year for Eliya, to put it mildly. Coming out of the pandemic, Eliya was only able to return to work for a short time when her hip issues forced her into having double hip surgery.

After two surgeries and several months of recovery, when she was finally able to return to work, Eliya's family was hit with an unspeakable tragedy. Her precious two-and-a-half-year-old niece, Millie Rose, was struck and killed by an SUV while playing near her family's home in California.

Only a few weeks later, three days after her birthday, Eliya was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer.

Eliya is a rare beauty. I have worked with Eliya for over five years and I can say with total confidence that she is the light and energy of every room she walks into. From her signature, "Helllloooo!," to her unlimited positive energy, she is amazing, and a constant source of support to everyone around her. She is the first to coordinate a fundraiser for anyone who is having a new baby, reaching a milestone, or just simply needs help. She is truly one of a kind!

Our girl is literally in for the fight of her life. She is about to endure 5 months of intensive chemotherapy in addition to 15 consecutive months of immunotherapy and she has just been told this will all be culminating in a double mastectomy.

If you've met Eliya, you know that all she has ever wanted in this life is to have a baby. She is now undergoing emergency fertility treatments and freezing her eggs so that the chemo will not destroy her dreams!

As you can imagine, Eliya has a long road ahead of her. She will be out of work for the next year as her body goes to war. On top of day-to-day living expenses, she will face many out-of-pocket expenses for medical procedures, additional treatments and everything else that comes along with this life-altering diagnosis.

I encourage you all to reach deep within and help Eliya in her greatest time of need. If you have ever crossed paths with her she has undoubtedly made you smile. It's time to show our girl that there is still good in this world. Please know that whatever you do to support is so greatly appreciated!
