Turbo.
Anyone who knows me (Jaz) knows Turbo. He is a social butterfly. He is friendly to everyone he meets and loves all life. He loves all kids & animals of all kinds. He absolutely loves the outdoors and going on adventures. He loves to play with toys and dig holes to no end. Turbo has been my best friend for 7 years now. By my side day in & day out. He has traveled this country alongside me. He got me through the hardest two years of my life. I could not ask for a better companion.
Turbo has been healthy most of his life until two weeks go. I began to notice behavior changes & he suddenly went blind over the last two weeks. I spent the first week of the year in vets offices with my guy. He was diagnosed with a condition called SARDS. This condition causes sudden blindness. There is not a significant amount of research available about this disease. He is adapting but is struggling. His whole life has changed and he can not do the things he loves without complications. I am making changes in his home life to help accommodate his needs.
His bloodwork came back abnormal and he is sick. Among a few abnormalities in his testing the most prominent being his liver test. His liver is severely damaged. He requires a few medications daily now. His liver enzymes are supposed to be blow 125 & his tested at 1,880. Due to this he cannot go under any anesthesia as he would likely not survive.
We are in the early stages of diagnostic and testing. As of now we are unsure of his full condition. I am doing everything I can to manage with what I know now until we have more information. For the next several months he will be in and out of the vet getting testing and constant bloodwork every few weeks.
I am asking for time. Ultimately your money is your time. I value your time. For me to spend more time with Turbo and avoid working significant overtime to afford the medical bills I am asking for donations. By donating your time you are giving me more time to spend with my best friend. Everything helps and I am extremely grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this & considering to donate.
His vet records & receipts will be available at any time upon request.
