Help With Top Surgery

Hello, my name is Ace. I'm 22 and have been a service dog handler since I was 17 and involved in dog sports since I was 18. I'm reaching out to the community I've come to call home as well as whoever else might come across this gofundme, to ask for support for my upcoming double mastectomy. I've applied for medicaid but unfortunately haven't heard back. My pre-op is June 11th and my surgery is set for July 1st of this year(2024). I was originally going to move it back to January in hopes of buying myself more time to save- but my surgeon advised against this as my insurance would reset at that point- causing me to owe more than the estimated amount. Currently the most ill owe out of pocket is $6k, I've set the fundraising for $8k due to the other expenses surrounding the surgery.
