Santino, no percibe esos sonidos en su totalidad en su oído derecho, por eso será sometido a dos operaciones quirúrgicas para que eso se haga realidad. El costo de las cirugías es de 99,000 dolares mas gastos de viaje y estadía de cinco semanas.

La historia de Santino necesita ser compartida por este medio porque su familia ahora, apelamos al sentido de la gente, que ... en este tiempo su grado de concientización se ha elevado, por todo lo vivido en los últimos meses, ENORMEMENTE.

The beautiful sounds of life are perceived by our ears through sound waves, with high and low decibels...

The music... that makes us dance.

The words said... that touch our heart.

The beautiful sound of the wind.


Santino is not able to completely perceive these sounds. He was diagnosed with two congenital ear defects best known as Microtia and Aural Atresia. Microtia is a deformity of the outer ear where the ear does not fully develop. Aural atresia is when the ear canal does not develop normally. In Santino’s case, the ear canal in his right ear is absent and the sound waves cannot get through to the eardrum and inner ear causing a partial hearing loss.

At his barely two years of age, he will undergo two surgical procedures known as Canalplasty and MEDPOR ear reconstruction. These surgeries will allow Santino’s ear canal to be reconstructed and hopefully, allow him to live a normal life with proper hearing.

We share this story with you because right now, Santino’s family is faced with two very costly surgeries. We trust that our family, friends, and kindhearted people will assist us to allow Santino to restore hearing loss. The total amount for the surgeries is $99,000 USD and needs to be paid in full before surgery date, plus five weeks worth of travel expenses.
