Hi, my name is Sarah Dancy Blackburn and I am posting this on my Mom's Facebook. I am 16 years old and play varsity volleyball and soccer. I love to dance and sing and partipate in performances at school.  I study hard and maintain A's in all my classes- most of which are Honors. 
I applied, interviewed, and was selected for a Rotary Youth Exchange program in France for my junior year. It is a huge honor, and I am so excited for the opportunities ahead. I'm nervous to be away from my family for a year, but know this will have a tremendous impact on my future!
There are many expenses that the program does not cover. I have to have an open ended plane ticket which is over $3000. There is also special insurance and a mandatory emergency fund which is another $1000.  
I am working all summer to contribute to the cost, but any contributions will be a huge help!
