Monica is a devoted mother of four boys, a loving stepmother, and a proud grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren who are the light of her life. Family has always been her greatest joy, and she’s the kind of person who brings everyone together with her warmth and positivity. She’s also someone who has always lived an active, healthy life and approaches everything with strength and gratitude.

Recently, her world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After meeting with her doctors, she made the difficult decision to undergo a double mastectomy with reconstruction to give herself the best chance at a long, healthy life with the people she loves. If doctors are able to remove all the cancer, she will need reconstructive surgery. If there are still traces of cancer, she will need to undergo radiation and/or chemotherapy. No matter the outcome, the journey ahead is overwhelming and the costs are very high.

As she prepares for surgery and recovery, she will be unable to work while she heals, and the medical bills and lost income are creating a heavy financial burden. Monica's Family are organizing this fundraiser to help ease that stress so she can focus on what matters most—healing and being there for her children and grandchildren.
