Hi, my name is Sara and I am writing to you to ask your help to raise funds for my best friend Miriam who has been fighting against breast cancer.

Everything started when I received a phone call when she told me that she had been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, which is the most aggressive within its category. The diagnosis was given in July and she immediately started a cocktail of four different types of chemo therapies. Despite eighth months of agonising treatment during the lockdown she was told that the cancer had grown instead of going into remission. She then had an invasive surgery, which should have been the end of this nightmare. After the surgery, sadly, she was told the cancer is still active and she needs to go ahead with both chemo and radio therapy. I’m writing to you to ask for help to give Miriam a chance to stay with us ... her beloved husband, her young children and all her friends. Miriam has always been active to fund raise for cancer. She used to run for Cancer Research and helped raise funds for others, she’s also an active member of community volunteering. She helps children, people with mental issues with her job and during the lockdown she used her own free time and professional skills to help people to cope with depression despite her own sickness ...it’s about time to help her to fight her own fight with cancer!!!

The funds will help Miriam to cover the costs for extra treatment that are not available with the NHS. The further treatments may increase her chances of survival and let her lovely self stay with those who love her deeply.

Ciao, il mio nome e’ Sara vi sto scrivendo Per raccogliere fondi per la mia migliore amica, Miriam che sta lottando contro il cancro.

Tutto e’ iniziato quando ho ricevuto una chiamata dove mi ha detto che le era stato diagnosticato il tumore al seno triplo negativo, il più aggressivo nella sua categoria. La diagnosi è stata data a Luglio ed ha subito iniziato un cocktail di quattro tipo di chemioterapie. Nonostante otto agonizzanti mesi di terapia durante il lockdown il cancro invece di andare in remissione si è ingrandito. Ha poi fatto un intervento chirurgico invasivo che sarebbe dovuto essere la fine di un incubo. Dopo l’intervento, le è stato detto che il cancro e’a ancora attivo e che sarebbe dovuta andare avanti con la chemio e la radio terapia. Vi scrivo per dare un ultima chance a Miriam, l'opportunità di rimanere con i suoi cari ... il suo amatissimo marito, i suoi figli e tutti i suoi amici. Miriam e’ sempre stata attiva nella lotta contro il cancro. Correva per le maratone per il Cancer Research ed ha aiutato a raccogliere fondi per il cancro degli altri. E’ anche un membro attivo di un gruppo di volontariato nella comunità. Aiuta i bambini, persone con problemi e disabilità mentali con il suo lavoro e durante il lockdown ha usato il suo tempo libero e le sue capacità professionali per aiutare le persone ad affrontare la depressione, nonostante lei stia affrontando la sua lotta con la malattia... e’ il momento di aiutare Miriam ad affrontare la sua battaglia con il cancro!!!

I fondi aiuteranno Miriam a coprire i costi per i trattamenti extra che la NHS non copre. Le terapie possono dare più chance di sopravvivenza ed aiutarla a rimanere con i suoi cari che la amano tanto!
