Help get Chromebooks for my Class!

I am currently a second year Corp Member of Teach For America teaching 11th and 12th grade US History, Government and Economics to 120 wonderfully bright students in Manhattan.  Over 90% of my students qualify to get free or reduced lunch putting us in the highest classification of schools in poverty.  Last year I had so much fun laughing, crying and learning with my students and I cannot wait to get back in the classroom and do it all again this year! 


One of my responsibilities as a social studies teacher is to give my students access to current events in the world around them and help them express opinions and arguments in a professional way.  I worked really hard last year to help my students reach new levels in both of these fields, but one of the biggest challenges we faced was trying to explore current events  around the world and prepare for college-level writing with very limited access to technology. 


I have created this GoFundMe to bring my classroom Chromebooks.  My goal is to get a class set of 22 laptops so all my students can elevate their learning through technology.  Anything you can give (even $1!) will help.  I thank you and so do my kids!
