Hey everyone, I would like you to meet Al Lenters. Al is a shooting enthusiast who enjoys using the Oyens Public Shooting Range outside of Oyens, IA, but has difficulty accessing the area in his wheelchair. Al and his brother Steve contacted the DNR to see if anything could be done about this, and the DNR in turn contacted us at the Tri-State Public Range Association.  We have accepted the challenge to help make the joy of shooting accessible to those who are differently abled!

We are planning on on pouring a concrete handicapped spot, sidewalks, a concrete shooting pad, and constructing a wheelchair accessible shooting bench so that Al, and others who use a wheelchair, can enjoy our public lands like everyone else!
